Meet Our Founders
Westside Build was founded by four people who arrived at the same conclusion from completely different directions: that residential construction had been left behind, and that homes deserved the same systems-level rigor that had transformed every other complex form of building.
Chris Kabatsi
Co-Founder
Chris is an architect by training and a builder by obsession. He met Rob Kilian studying architecture and engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and the two went on to co-found Arktura, a design and manufacturing company that grew into a global architectural products firm before joining Armstrong World Industries in 2020. Chris lives in the Pacific Palisades, where he raised his family. When the Palisades fires destroyed his home in early 2025, the work of rebuilding became personal, and the urgency of giving Westside families a building partner they could fully trust became the firm’s clearest mission.
Rob Kilian
Co-Founder
Rob co-founded Arktura with Chris and a third partner, building a company defined by system-level thinking, figuring out how complex things actually come together, and engineering the systems that make them repeatable. He has spent his career at the intersection of architecture, engineering, and fabrication. Rob lives in Santa Monica with his partner and twin boys, and brings to Westside Build a conviction that the same coordination and precision that transformed commercial construction can and should be brought to custom homes.
Tzvika Diner
Co-Founder
Tzvika is the operational backbone of Westside Build’s field execution. He co-founded DM Premier Group and has spent more than two decades building high-end custom homes across the Greater Los Angeles area. He knows the Westside’s neighborhoods, its trades, its permitting realities, and the pace at which complex residential projects actually move. His role at Westside Build is to ensure that what is designed is built on schedule, on budget, and to a standard our clients can feel.
David Malka
Co-Founder
David co-founded DM Premier Group with Tzvika and helped build it into one of the most prolific high-end home builders on the Westside. He brings a builder’s practicality to every project — a discipline around custom materials, craftsmanship, and the realities of executing in one of the most complex housing markets in the country. David is hands-on with clients and crews alike and is a quiet but constant presence on the job sites Westside Build runs.

The team partners with our architects and engineers from the earliest design conversations through permitting, bringing a multidisciplinary perspective rooted in sustainability, craftsmanship, and award-winning custom work.
DG Lumber
DG Lumber is Westside Build’s in-house lumber and material supply company, sourcing construction-grade lumber, decking, and siding directly from the mill. Owning this part of the supply chain protects our clients from the delays, scarcity, and pricing volatility that affect most luxury home projects, and lets us hold quality and timing to a higher standard.
